The Standard Electric Time Co. Springfield, Mass.
Of all the clocks in my collection the Standard Electric was the most readily accepted as the standard for School
and Industrial uses and therefore a considerable number were produced. Next to the Self-Winding Clock Company of Brooklyn,
NY you will find more information and examples of these clocks than any others in this collection. This example has the two
slave clock monitors and a battery gauge. It also has a four circuit bell system and this clock was set up to operate its
slave clocks in series at lower voltage than the latter clocks. Currently there is a lot of information available on this
company on the internet. I am looking for early and unusual examples of this company.

This is a Self Winding Clock Movement with a Sync
device that would set (Set or Center) the minute hand each hour by a master clock. These were used in the St. Louis Public
School District and rarely anywhere else.
