McClintock-Loomis Company 1908
O. B. McClintock Company 1917

O. B. McClintock/Loomis Company built bank alarms and clocks used to operate chimes and street clocks or interior chimes & clocks. This particular clock was removed from the Singer Building (Singer Sewing Machine Company), 141 Broadway, New York , NY which was the tallest building in the world when completed. The building was torn down in 1968 and this clock was saved from demolition. The dial is stain glass and the front door is of very heavy beveled glass which were both unusual for these clocks. The advance switches have plaques showing the streets Broadway and Church Street where the secondary street clocks were. Please email me if you have any information on the street clocks that were at this builing around 1920. Also pictured is Seth Thomas movement on which there is the hand blown circular switch that operated the minute advance on the secondary clocks. These switches are often missing or broken when on finds an example of this wonderful clock. I would also like to find a set of the interior bells that these clocks operated.

Many Thanks for Looking
